A 1,200-seat hall at the Cathedral Church of St Paul, Sagamu, completed in 2016, with meeting rooms and banking spaces beside it. Alongside my government role, I supervised its construction as secretary of the church’s technical committee, a voluntary role. Changing rooms, stores, and the way people arrive mattered as much as the hall itself.
The Centenary multi-purpose hall is designed for social events and has, in addition to a large hall, support facilities such as changing rooms, conveniences, a furniture store and office. Acoustic and circulation considerations shaped the internal volume and entry sequence.
The work was construction supervision, carried out voluntarily as secretary of the technical committee of the Cathedral Church of St Paul, Sagamu, alongside the Ogun State Government role. Capacity, stage orientation, and support spaces were checked on site against audience sightlines and the way events would run.
